Bubbling Bath Salts: Update 1/11/16

Update 1/11/16

I love the look of the glass and wood, but I wanted to switch things up and give this item some variety. I have these large metal tins that I use to package my lotions bars, however, they are a bit on the small side. I searched my local craft store and found some extra-large metal tins! When I say these tins are extra-large, I mean it! These actually hold more product than the glass jars!

Now, I have had these sitting around in my bathroom for about three months! I originally wanted to list these as a five piece sample set in glass test tubes. However, shipping the fragile glass tubes proved problematic. This item fell by the wayside while I finished up my bulk order and Christmas orders. I have finally gotten around to photographing and listing this item! Instead of the test tubes, I have chosen a corked glass jar, complete with a wooden spoon. I am in love with this look.

Original Post: Making Mistakes

"Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun." -Mary Lou Cook

A few weeks ago I posted about making bath bombs and how my first batch turned out terrible. These dreadful looking bath "boo-boos" just sat on my counter, taking up space, until I could figure out what to do with them. One night, while I was packaging an order, I knocked one down and it fell to the floor. It shattered into tons of tiny little pieces! I angrily scooped up the broken pieces and threw them into the sink, as this was the closest method of disposal. I bent down to pick up the rest and noticed that my sink was now fizzing! I had unknowingly tossed a few pieces into a glass of water sitting in my sink. *Light Bulb!* Why waste these perfectly fizzy remnants? I hurried over to my stash of pre-made bath salts and mixed in the smallest pieces of bath bomb & Ta-Da! Fizzy Bath Salts!

I will be adding these to my Etsy Shop very soon!
