Beautiful, Bizarre & Bewildering
I'm Backkkk! & Experimenting with experimental film!
If you're familiar with my blog, then you already know how much I adore instant film. Welp, being immersed in the world of Polaroid has lead me to some insanely interesting sites, profiles and photography communities. It has opened my eyes to the beauty of experimental film. About two years ago, my father gifted me a Pentax ME Super 35mm camera, I later found out it was my late grandfathers camera <3 . It needed some work so I began researching (youtubing) 35mm repairs. Once this was fixed, I was off like a shot. I had film waiting to be shot, even before I had batteries for my Pentax.
This was the first roll I shot, after a test roll was used to check the cameras condition. I was completely shocked at how beautifully this film developed. It also helped me to learn about contrast, lighting and exposure functions on my camera.
Psychedelic Blues #4 This was the first of the Psychedelic series I picked up. Psychedelic Blues #4 is entirely exposed to holographic paper, adding dreamy and colorful, holographic flares to images in multiple spectrums of color throughout the roll. The colors come from any direction and fade in and out.
Psychedelic Blues #3
This. The Psychedelic Blues 3# is by far my favorite of the series. #3 produces red, blue, purple, pink, and orange light that will show up as streaks and orbs throughout the roll, and also completely dominate some frames.
HANDS-DOWN the most magnificent film I've ever had the privilege to shoot with.
Blue becomes green, green becomes purple, yellow becomes pink.
I am currently working my way through a ten pack of LomoChrome Purple & I have the Revolog, and Psychedelic Blues series waiting in the wings!
